Eternal Guardian Rachel

Hello guys, my new work for 2020!

Once again, I attempted on another 7 Knights character conversion.

This time I did a fanart of Rachael, in her Eternal Guardian costume.

Hope you like it!

Modelling was mainly in zbrush and maya for retopology/xgen.
Textures were baked from Marmoset Toolbag, and crafted with Substance painter and designer (used some custom procedural textures).
I focused heavily on Unreal Engine for this project for rendering and compositing.

This is Unreal Engine 4.25's Apple Pro Res 4444 output. This new feature really kept the quality high!

For this project, I tried out the new Hair system in Unreal 4.25. The process was a bit technical at first, trying to get the system work in the Engine. Also, I haven't done XGen for a long time, so I feel this I need to learn again for my next project!

For the background, I tried to learn how to use Megascan assets in my Unreal project. It is really beautiful.
